This Privacy Policy explains how South Bend Computer Repair ("we," "us") and our software application collect, use, and protect information when you use our repair, point-of-sale, protection-plan, and related services.
Information we collect
Customer contact details (name, phone, email, address); device and repair/service details and history; transaction and invoice records; and, for Computer Care Plan subscribers, system health and monitoring data from the device.
Payments
Card payments are processed by our payment processor, BlockChyp. We do not store full card numbers; we retain only a secure payment token and the last four digits to enable billing and refunds.
How we use information
To provide and bill for repairs, services, and Computer Care Plans; to send transactional communications (repair status, receipts, payment notices); to monitor and protect enrolled devices; and to maintain our business and accounting records.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us operate: BlockChyp (payments), Atera and Bitdefender (device monitoring and security), and Intuit QuickBooks (accounting). When you connect QuickBooks, we access and write only the accounting data needed to record your sales. We do not sell personal information.
Text messages (SMS)
With your consent, we send recurring service-related text messages to the mobile number you provide — such as repair status updates, drop-off and pickup notices, Computer Care Plan account and payment reminders, and post-service review requests. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help, or call us at (574) 444-9910. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
Data security & retention
Information is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and retained only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
